UK Manufacturing
All Ishida equipment was traditionally built in Japan until 1996 when a purpose-built European manufacturing facility was opened in Birmingham, UK. An ongoing phased transfer of weighing and packing production technology was then implemented over the following years.
Central to the success of this manufacturing unit has been a focused approach to the requirements of the European market.
This means our customers benefit from the close proximity of our manufacturing while tapping into the additional resources of Ishida Japan when needed.
ISO 9001 accreditation, commitment to employee development and partnership agreements with key suppliers have all contributed to success of the European manufacturing operation.
Over 80% of all Ishida machines sold within Europe, the Middle East and Africa are now produced at this UK site.
