In moving from serving only its own bakeries to supplying other companies and consumers, Vaasan & Vaasan Oy needed to find a more accurate means of packing frozen bake-off products. After testing different approaches, the company chose flat plastic bags as the packaging, and Ishida multiheads as the means of filling them. This has provided it with the ability to deliver accurately-filled packs, while also enabling it, without major manpower implications, to add capacity quickly in a fast-growing market.
