New Checkweighers Ideal for Fresh Food Applications

Ishida Europe has launched a new state-of-the-art hygienic checkweigher, specifically designed to withstand the harshest cleaning regimes while maintaining pinpoint checkweighing accuracy and long-term reliability.

The new Ishida DACS-H-012 checkweigher has been developed for the stringent hygiene requirements of the fresh meat, poultry, dairy, fish and produce industries. Its corrosion-resistant, stainless steel construction conforms to IP66 and NEMA 4X electrical standards, providing complete waterproof protection to facilitate cleaning, including rigorous high pressure hosedown with caustic solutions.

At the same time, smooth contours of the support legs and main body frame help to prevent product build-up and reduce cleaning time. Equally important, the Ishida DACS-H-012 checkweigher has been designed for easy maintenance with no tools required to remove the belt conveyor, reject arms and other key parts, to simplify access.

An easy-to-operate control unit offers simple procedures to store up to 100 pre-set target weights. This helps to prevent operator input errors and reduces downtime for product changeovers. The panel can produce graphs and histograms of production activity, with an optional printer to provide hard copies of the data. The Ishida DACS-H-012 checkweigher can also be specified to interface with a host computer, Ishida multihead weighers and other equipment up and down stream, as part of a fully integrated factory management system.

Proven Ishida technology includes a specially developed load cell to ensure excellent standards of accuracy at high speeds. In addition, Anti-Floor Vibration (AFV), which detects and compensates for external vibrations, and Digital Signal Processing (DSP), which provides efficient filtering of weighing signals, both ensure that checkweighing accuracy is maintained even under a wide range of difficult weighing conditions.

The Ishida DACS-H-012 checkweigher has a weighing range of 12 to 1200g with a top speed of 175wpm.
