Patak’s packs pukka pappadums

Patak’s, the authentic Indian food manufacturer, has substantially increased packing speeds on its pappadum line following the installation of an additional Ishida Qualitech tray sealing system. Having supplemented existing thermoforming equipment, not only have sealing speeds risen but finished product presentation has also been greatly improved.
The major issue for Patak’s was maintaining capacity as well as improving product quality by avoiding breakage. Ishida Qualitech’s engineers carried out an in-depth review of the packing line and installed a tray sealer which handles the products more gently and enables a neater top seal.
Andrew Downie, Patak’s Group Manager - Manufacturing, observed:
