Ishida Underlines Its Diversity
Empack Den Bosch Preview – Ishida Europe, Hall 1, stand E110
A multihead weigher specially designed for whole fresh produce including root vegetables and citrus fruits, the latest X-ray and MAP inspection systems for enhanced quality control, and a versatile entry-level tray sealer will showcase Ishida Europe’s wide-ranging packing line solutions at Empack in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands from 5th to 6th April.
The Ishida RV-214-70-SS-FPR1 multihead weigher is one the company’s new Sector Solutions application-specific multihead weighers that offer food manufacturers an off-the-shelf cost-effective and high performance solution for a wide range of products. The FPR1 Fresh Produce version, ideal for products such as potatoes and oranges, features a urethane-coated dispersion feeder table, 7 litre pool hoppers, 9 litre double opening reinforced weigh hoppers with silicon liners, anti-crush pipe, a 42 degree discharge chute, and an 18 litre pneumatic-beak timing hopper with urethane coated hopper gate, all of which ensure a fast, smooth and gentle passage of product throughout the weigher. Maximum speed is 80 weighments per minute.
These features are combined with the Ishida RV range’s reputation for unsurpassed accuracy and efficiency. All 14 heads are capable of being used in a single combination calculation, while the weigher’s unique triple combination calculation software can calculate three optimal weight combinations, double check them and then select the one nearest to the target weight - all in a single cycle. This minimises error discharges, increasing efficiency, while also enhancing weighing accuracy and consistency.
Part of its recently-launched range of X-ray inspection systems, the Ishida IX-EN-4093 is ideal for manufacturers requiring an affordable but highly accurate entry-level inspection solution, with a reliable machine that balances impressive sensitivity with minimal operating costs to deliver an excellent return on investment. The IX-EN-4093 incorporates Ishida’s unique Genetic Algorithm (GA) image processing function that delivers superior inspection sensitivity. Additional benefits include the identification of damaged and missing products or components.
The new Ishida AirScan minimises spoilage in a wide variety of pre-packed retail food products where CO2 is used as part of the MAP process, including fresh, cooked and cured meat, poultry, seafood, fruit, vegetables, cheeses and ready meals. It uses advanced laser technology to identify leaks of CO2 from holes as small as 0.25mm in sealed MAP packs at speeds of up to 180 packs per minute, ensuring that maximum quality can be achieved without compromising on high throughput speeds and minimum packing time.
The entry-level semi-automatic QX-300-Flex tray sealer is ideal for low volume production runs, such as niche markets, or for new product development, using the right balance of sealing pressure and temperature to ensure excellent pack appearance and seal integrity. Sealing tools are available for outside cut, MAP, skinpack and shrink film applications. The machine features simple controls for fast set up and changeovers, and its compact dimensions reduce floor space requirements.
