Takayo Motegi was appointed Managing Director of Ishida Europe in June 2026, bringing more than 30 years of experience within the Ishida Group.

He joined Ishida Japan in 1996 and has spent much of his career supporting international markets, including playing a key role in establishing Ishida Thailand. Takayo also spent three years based at Ishida Europe from 2015, gaining valuable insight into the European market, before being appointed Executive Officer and joining the Board of Directors at Ishida Japan in 2020. His extensive international experience and customer-focused approach position him to lead Ishida Europe through its next phase of growth and innovation.

Dave joined Ishida Europe in 2008 as Finance Director, bringing senior financial leadership experience from Advantica Group and Energis Polska. A qualified Chartered Accountant, he has expertise across the oil and gas, telecommunications and electricity sectors. Following 11 successful years as Managing Director, during which he led the business through consecutive record years of growth, Dave has taken on the role of Chairman, where he continues to provide strategic guidance and support Ishida Europe's long-term success.

Ian assumed the position of Operations Director in April 2021, having previously overseen a highly successful operational transformation program within Ishida Aftersales across EMEA. Ian has operational experience across a host of industries and has worked for a number of blue chip organisations, including Chubb, Otis and Interserve. Ian brings a track record of demonstrating true operational innovation and implementation of a highly focused customer centric culture.

Steve joined Ishida in 2008 as Senior Product Manager - Multihead Weighers. He was appointed to the Board as Product Strategy Director in November 2013 and then promoted to Marketing Director in 2014. Previously, he worked at Renishaw plc in Production, Design and Global Product Management. Steve holds a First Class BEng (Hons) in Electronics Engineering, the Chartered Institute of Marketing's Post Graduate Diploma, and the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction. He is a Fellow of the IoD and also a Chartered Marketer.

Guy's journey at Ishida began in July 2005 as a Design Engineer. Over nearly two decades, he has consistently expanded his expertise and leadership within the company. Since March 2022, Guy has played a pivotal role as Engineering General Manager, overseeing all our engineering activities.

Mark joined Ishida in 2006, acting as Head of Finance for six years before being appointed Finance Director. He is a Chartered Accountant who began his career at Coopers & Lybrand and has held senior financial positions at a number of international manufacturers for many years.

Sarah Hughes returned to the role of HR Director at Ishida Europe in 2026, following her first tenure in 2019-2023. With near three decades of experience in working in the people and development functions in organisations across industries and sectors, Sarah has a passion for creating workplaces where people and organisations thrive together positively and profitably. Sarah is a Fellow of the CIPD and a qualified Executive Coach.

Nick joined Ishida in 2022 as General Manager Projects, bringing a proven track record of leadership in global project execution, business growth, and customer success. Prior to joining Ishida, Nick served as Vice President, Global Sales Projects Services at Emerson Automation, where over a period of 30 years, he was responsible for the sales and project delivery, of large-scale capital automation projects within the global oil and gas, process, and utility industries. Nick holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Electronic & Communication Engineering, combining strong technical foundations with significant commercial and operational leadership experience.
