Health and Wellbeing at Ishida

At Ishida we are proud of our health and wellbeing provisions that enable our colleagues to prioritise their wellbeing. We strive to encourage open and honest conversations about mental health and wellbeing, to make them a normal part of our day to day working life and culture. We are committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of all employees by promoting a healthy and supportive working environment.

At Ishida our focus is on supporting the mental, physical and financial health and wellbeing of our colleagues and provisions available within the company to do this include:

  • An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Medicash plan
  • Mental health awareness training
  • Our Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) network
  • Where eligible, private medical insurance
  • Individual wellbeing checks through our occupational health providers
  • Attendance at company and external provider run webinars, including pensions awareness sessions
  • Physical activity and fitness, eg yoga and running classes
  • Mini health checks

Real Living Wage

Accreditation Highlights Ishida’s Fair Pay Commitment

The Real Living Wage differs from the government’s National Living Wage because it is based on what people need to get by, rather than the government minimum, and is therefore the only calculation that fully takes into account the cost of living. Over 200,000 people have already received a pay rise as a result of the accreditation.

“We are really proud of our colleagues and we have always been committed to ensuring that their hard work is recognised and rewarded,” said Sarah Hughes, Ishida Europe’s Human Resources Director.
