Four key topics, one core goal

Every year our experts look for topics that will spark conversation, spearhead change and improve industry safety and hygiene standards. This year’s Summit continues the trend, with a number of insightful speakers sharing their expertise and experience.

Allergens and contaminants

The past year has highlighted the importance of ensuring food allergy protocols are strictly adhered to throughout the entire food supply chain. It’s an issue we’ll be addressing head on at the Summit, with key talks discussing process control and the importance of accurate labelling and production setups.

Physical contaminants

Hard physical contaminants not only impose a serious risk to the public, they can have a seriously harmful impact on brand reputation. Our expert speakers will be discussing how to avoid such contamination and providing guidance on how to improve processes prior to despatch.

Auditing and compliance

Ensuring your facilities are compliant to both BRC Global Standards V8 and the latest retailer compliance requirements can be daunting, not to mention costly in the event of non-compliance. Across three talks we’ll be looking at the business implications of financial penalties and how to adopt a best practice approach to auditing.

New packaging and shelf life

Few topics are currently hotter than food waste and plastic pollution. We’re tackling both with talks on innovative packaging trends and how food producers are reducing plastics while maintaining shelf life. We’ll also be addressing how modified atmosphere packing still has a key role to play in the industry.
